Thailand the land of smiles and Thai Massage Mecca

Thai Massage passion, How it begun

Thai Massage passion for Thai Massage began in 1995 when he visited Thailand for the first time. On that trip he received numerous traditional massages and he quickly grew interested in this wonderful technique.

In this same year he began studying in several schools in Chiang Mai. A year later he began to practice as a Thai masseuse in Japan, where he was amazed by the improvement that his clients began to feel.

Guenther set out to share the benefits of movements and stretches of his Thai massage passion while traveling through countries such as New Zealand, Chile, Spain, Tibet, Austria and India. Since 2014 he is teaching and giving certificates to Chilean Students. He also has a 390 hour certified teacher certificate completed in Chiang Mai (Thailand) and currently teaches in Vienna, Austria.

The Practise

Traditional kind of massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and the receiver. But rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked.

The recipient wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. In Thailand, a dozen or so subjects may be receiving massage simultaneously in one large room. The true ancient style of the massage requires that the massage be performed solo with just the giver and receiver.
